Running Technique
How to improve your running technique
Running technique plays a crucial role in preventing injuries and improving performance.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind:
1. Posture: Maintain an upright posture with your head aligned with your spine. Avoid slouching or leaning forward too much.
2. Footstrike: Aim for a midfoot strike, where your foot lands beneath your body, rather than heel-striking or landing on your toes.
3. Cadence: Strive for a quick turnover rate or cadence. Aim for around 180 steps per minute, which can help reduce the risk of overstriding.
4. Arm Swing: Keep your arms relaxed and bent at a 90-degree angle. Swing them back and forth in sync with your stride, but avoid crossing them over your body.
5. Breathing: Breathe deeply and rhythmically, focusing on exhaling fully to help maintain a steady oxygen supply.
Happy running!
